2023 Oscar Nominees on Netflix

 Recently, the Academy Awards, or the Oscars have announced all of its nominations which are often known as film Oscar nominations. Some of the films that are nominated for the highest award for filmmakers can actually be watched on the online streaming platform, Netflix. In fact, there are several original films made by Netflix that are included as one of the nominations for this Oscar film.

The Oscar is one of the prestigious awards in the world film industry which is often used as a benchmark for the success of a film. Generally, this list of Oscar film nominations will get high marks from film critics. As a result, the film will again skyrocket and achieve success because many people want to watch it.

1. All Quiet on The Western Front

The first Oscar film that aired on Netflix was All Quiet on The Western Frontal. This German war-themed film made it into 9 Oscar nominations. Among the nominations, are Best Picture, International Feature Film, Cinematography, to Sound, and Original Score.

2. Blondes

Blonde is a biographical film about the life and career of the famous American artist, Marilyn Monroe, who was nominated for an Oscar. This film was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role which was given to Ana de Armas as the main character. Blonde is a film adaptation of a novel with the same title which was released in 2000.

3. Bardo: False Chronicle of A Hand of Truths

Made entirely in Mexico, the film Bardo: False Chronicle of A Hand of Truths, or Bardo for short, was nominated for the Oscar for Best Cinematography. This comedy genre film tells the story of a journalist and documentary maker named Silverio Gama. After returning to his home country, he actually began to experience an existential crisis.

4. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Dock. Netflix

The next Oscar nominee on Netflix is Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The sequel to Knives Out, which was released in 2019, has been nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. The film, which stars well-known actors such as Daniel Craig and Janelle Monae, tells the story of an accomplished detective who handles cases involving a famous tech billionaire.

5. Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio

The film, adapted from the Italian novel entitled Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, won an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film. Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio is a musical animated film made by the famous director Guillermo Del Toro. The film, which is set during the World War II period, tells the story of a wooden doll who searches for the meaning of love, learns about life, and hopes to fulfill her father's wish.

7. The Elephant Whispers

The Elephant Whisperer is a documentary about elephants that was nominated for an Oscar as Best Documentary Short Film. This film, set in India, tells the story of an Indian couple who raise an elephant to be like their own family.

8. The Martha Mitchell Effect

The next Oscar nominee on Netflix is The Martha Mitchell Effect. This is a documentary about a cabinet wife who dared to reveal her life story during the Watergate era. This film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary Short Film.
